Fiona Scott-Ennis has worked professionally for twenty-five years in many different equestrian disciplines including showing, jumping, racing, studwork, young stock and rehabilitation. She has also enjoyed starting, producing, competing and caring for her own ponies and horses. Fiona is a qualified aromatherapist and an advanced remedial massage therapist, and has strong interests in Centered Riding, Connected Riding, Neuro-linquistic Programming (NLP), the relationship of groundwork to riding, Emotional Freedom Technique, yoga, Alexander Technique, Pilates and other bodywork methods. This background has led to her holistic approach to teaching riding, and her aim to make both rider and horse more confident, secure, happy and in tune.
During ten years of working in an equine rehabilitation centre, Fiona found that the fit of the saddle was critical to the successful rehabilitation of the horse. Since using the Solution saddle she is convinced that its unique design allows the horse to move more freely and to find confidence in its movement. In here teaching she is experiencing how this innovative saddle can help riders develop body awareness, balance and feel, and the use of this saddle is now an important part of her own riding.
